Connecting Channel on Jalan Bina Marga Cipayung Being Dredged

The connecting channel dredging conducted on Jalan Bina Marga, Cipayung Urban Village, East Jakarta, targeted to be completed this late afternoon, Tuesday (10/17).

It has been ongoing since September and is targeted for completion this late afternoon

Cipayung Urban Village Economy and Development Division Head, Nani Yuslina expressed as many as 118 joint personnel were deployed to complete the dredging of the channel as long as 200 meters and two and five meters wide.

"This is not about Adipura but routine activity once a month," she said.

She explained it is a routine agenda, as the thickness of the sedimentation reached 20 to 50 centimeters, so it often caused flooding during the rainy season due to the high water flow from the Jagorawi Toll Road flowing into the channel.

She added the work involved 20 personnel of the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, 15 personnel of the Water Board UPK Task Forces, and 83 personnel of PPSU.

"It has been ongoing since September and is targeted for completion this late afternoon," she concluded.
